Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Shop-Based) Are you a diagnostic expert who thrives on variety? We are looking for a high-level Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our shop team. This isn't just a "parts changer" role; we need a self-started, motivated problem solver who can work directly alongside our Shop Manager to keep a diverse fleet of heavy iron in top-tier condition. The Role You will be a key player in our shop, tackling everything from routine maintenance to complex system overhauls. We value autonomy and intelligence—if you see a problem, you fix it; if you see a better way to do things, you speak up. Project Documentation & Reporting Accuracy in the shop starts with accuracy on paper.

You will be expected to:

Maintain Detailed Logs:

Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and labor hours.

Service Reports:

Complete clear, concise service reports and inspections for the Shop Manager.

Digital Integration:

Utilize shop software or tablets to track maintenance intervals and equipment history.

Inventory Tracking:

Assist in documenting parts usage to ensure the shop stays stocked and organized.

What We Are Looking For Experience:

Proven track record in heavy equipment repair (Earthmoving, Construction, etc.).

Mindset:

A true self-starter who takes ownership of their work and doesn't wait for a list of instructions. The "Bonus"

Toolkit:

While not required, we are specifically looking for candidates with experience in: Welding & Fabrication Hydraulic System troubleshooting and repair. Electrical & Electronics (wiring, sensors, and computer diagnostics).

License:

A valid CDL is a significant bonus and will be reflected in compensation.
