Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting cardiovascular surgical teams with your expertise as a CVOR Tech. In this contract opportunity, you'll collaborate closely with surgical staff to ensure the highest standards of safety and care for pre-operative patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular surgery, ensuring proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are sterile and ready Assist surgical team members in positioning and prepping patients for procedures Monitor and manage instrument trays and sterile fields during operations Handle specimens according to established protocols Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to facilitate efficient case flow Support the maintenance and restocking of CVOR supplies and inventory Uphold strict adherence to infection control procedures and hospital policies at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
Demonstrated experience as a CVOR Tech or completion of an accredited surgical technology program with cardiovascular focus Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred In-depth understanding of aseptic technique and cardiovascular operating room protocols Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care This role offers the unique chance to apply your specialized skills within a dynamic and supportive surgical team, contributing directly to outstanding patient outcomes in cardiovascular care.
