Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a critical role supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures as a CVOR Tech. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated professional skilled in perioperative patient care and technical surgical support, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and the wider medical team. Your expertise will contribute directly to safe, efficient, and successful cardiovascular surgeries.

Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience as a CVOR Tech or in a similar surgical technology role is required. Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. Proficient understanding of sterilization techniques, instrumentation, and surgical procedures, especially within cardiovascular surgery. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Compliance with all necessary health, immunization, and background requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular procedures. Assist the surgical team during operations, anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field. Ensure proper patient positioning, draping, skin preparation, and technical support throughout the surgical process. Manage instrument counts and support infection prevention practices. Assist with postoperative clean-up and turnover between cases. Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care as needed.
