COVR CVOR Tech in Matthews, NC

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a highly specialized surgical environment supporting cardiovascular operations as a CVOR Surgical Tech. This contract role requires expertise in scrubbing for a wide variety of cardiac, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and other specialized cases. Work in a dynamic operating room suite that performs an average of 45 cases daily across 13 ORs, including both routine and complex cardiovascular procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

Orientation:

1 week (Main OR) or 2 weeks (CVOR), Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience (CVOR strongly preferred) Must have completed an accredited Surgical Tech education program prior to start Current BLS certification required; national certification preferred Confidence in scrubbing complex cases, especially CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic procedures Able to proficiently scrub: Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, Orthopedic (should score 4-5), Robotic, Urology, GYN, Colon, Breast, Spine, Podiatry, and Plastics First-time travelers considered if all core skills are met

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries and related procedures Scrub for a diverse range of cases, collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers Support room turnover, equipment setup, and patient positioning as part of a cohesive surgical team Document accurately using EPIC and manage supplies with Omnicell dispensing systems Engage in facility and unit orientation for seamless onboarding
