Maneuver loads over, around and near obstructions such as buildings and power lines. Utilize judgment in loading, unloading and arranging cargo to avoid shifting, swaying, or tipping. Opere heavy engineering equipment such as grader, dozers and similar construction equipment. Opere mobile boom cranes with tachments to load/unload/handle comb vehicles, equipment and containers. This position requires a valid, Ste-issued commercial motor vehicle driver's license (CDL). This position is subject to non-duty hours to support emergency situions, including nights and weekends. This position requires the employee to posses or obtain within six months the Nional Commission for the Certificion of Crane Operors (NCCCO) certificion, Rigger Level 1 and 2 certificion, and Mobile Crane Operor certificion. This position requires the employee to possess or obtain any applicable licenses to opere any assigned vehicles. May be required to travel (TDY) 5% of the time for business purposes. This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties and occasionally, with assistance, move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. Pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

Qualificions Who May Apply:
US Citizens Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstre, through experience shown in your written applicion merials th you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualificions (Screen Out Element) : Ability to do the work of a Crane Operor ~ without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform common Crane Operor duties such as: opering a variety of cranes with different lifting capacities to move large items in congested areas and confined spaces and opering a variety of heavy mobile equipment, such as backhoes and dozers in confined areas. and planning, selecting, and installing rigging gear for crane operions. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

Physical Efforts:
Work involves heavy physical effort in pushing, pulling and depressing various levers, clutches, brakes, and adjustment under rapidly changing conditions of surfaces. Such work involves continuous control changes to maneuver engineer equipment, tachments, and loads around obstructions, and to stay within boom angles or lifting capacity of a crane. Subject to strain caused by vibrion of equipment being opered; and from jerking and jolting motions while accomplishing work requirements. Incumbent is required to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds; and occasionally, with assistance, move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. The operor frequently lifts and carries moderely heavy objects Such as slings, cables, chains and jacks. He/she continually reaches, bends, stoops, pushes and pulls while taching rigging to the object to be moved. He/she frequently uses their entire body weight to push or pull suspended loads, chain-falls or load tag lines while moving objects into desired positions. He/she stands and walks for prolonged periods of time and frequently climbs on equipment or other structures to signal the crane operor.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in all types of weher and terrain including side hills slopes and rolling surfaces. Operor is exposed to hazards when opering on side slopes and steep banks. Incumbent is subject to injury from traffic hazards and overturning equipment. Operor is exposed to extremes of weher, to vibrion, dust, dirt, oil, wer, and engine exhaust fumes and to danger from swinging loads, moving machinery overturning and breakage of cables. Subject to possible serious injury while opering equipment, actual/ simuled emergency situions and while working or in close proximity to ammunition or explosives. Exposure to unusually severe working conditions, hazards or physical hardships compensed. Educion Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your educion for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualificion requirement using experience alone
