Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Crane Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, supporting continuous improvement and safety standards across the facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on cranes, including overhead, gantry, and jib cranes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Repair or replace crane components such as motors, brakes, gears, cables, and control systems utilizing welding skills including <
LOCATION
> welding techniques. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system manuals to accurately diagnose problems. Conduct field service repairs on cranes and related equipment at various locations within the manufacturing facility or at customer sites. Collaborate with industrial electricians and mechanics to optimize crane performance and implement upgrades using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track equipment history and schedule future servicing. Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as OSHA regulations for high voltage and low voltage electrical systems while maintaining a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience working in an industrial mechanic or industrial electrician role within a manufacturing facility or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in hydraulics, electrical systems (including high voltage), and industrial maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, control wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using ammeters and ohmmeters. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools essential for accurate repairs. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, HVAC/R systems (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), and field service operations. Knowledge of welding techniques including <

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams. Military background or experience in related technical fields is considered a plus.
