Creative Prop House Assistant

We're looking for a creative, organized, and hands-on assistant to help build and manage a growing prop and rental collection specializing in vintage décor, styling pieces, fashion, and one-of-a-kind sourced items for creative projects, events, photoshoots, and productions. This is not a typical retail position. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for aesthetics who enjoys styling, organizing, photographing inventory, and helping bring creative ideas to life behind the scenes. Responsibilities Photograph props, décor, garments, and rental inventory for the website and social media Create item descriptions and assist with uploading inventory online Organize and catalog rental inventory Help maintain storage areas, racks, shelving, and garment organization Assist with preparing rentals for pickup and return Handle local pickup and delivery of select items when needed Steam, tag, bag, and organize cleaned rental garments Assist with styling setups, merchandising, and creative projects Help source, move, and unpack vintage finds or estate pieces occasionally Ideal Candidate Creative with a strong visual eye and appreciation for interiors, fashion, vintage, or production design Comfortable taking photos with an iPhone or camera Organized and self-motivated Reliable transportation required Comfortable lifting and moving décor pieces, racks, boxes, etc. Familiarity with platforms like Shopify, Depop, Instagram, Canva, or inventory systems is a plus Fashion, photography, interior design, merchandising, theater, film, or creative students encouraged to apply Position Details Flexible schedule Part-time with opportunity to grow Mix of creative and physical hands-on work Work primarily based between home studio/storage spaces and store location in Bergen County, NJ Pay $18-$24/hour depending on experience and skill set To Apply Please send: A little about yourself Any relevant experience Instagram, portfolio, or examples of creative work if available Your general availability Ideal for someone who loves beautiful things, creative environments, and organized chaos and wants to help build something unique from the ground up.
