Job Description
Job description: Black Hills Community Bank is growing and seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our team and provide critical support to our lending staff. This position plays an essential role in the bank's credit administration process by analyzing financial data, assessing borrower creditworthiness, and preparing comprehensive credit presentations that support informed lending decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze personal, business, and commercial financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral information Prepare detailed credit presentations, loan memorandums, and underwriting packages for new, renewal, and existing credit relationships Evaluate borrower repayment capacity, industry trends, and overall credit risk Assist lenders in structuring loan requests and identifying strengths, weaknesses, and mitigating factors Monitor existing loan relationships and provide ongoing portfolio analysis Ensure compliance with bank credit policy, regulatory guidelines, and underwriting standards Support the lending team with financial modeling, covenant tracking, and risk rating assessments Maintain strong communication with lenders, management, and other internal departmentsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Minimum of 2 years of credit analysis or commercial banking experience Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, tax return analysis, and credit underwriting Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Skills:
Experience with commercial and agricultural lending Knowledge of loan policy, credit risk management, and regulatory compliance Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities This position is based in our Rapid City location and offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic community banking environment while contributing to the continued success of Black Hills Community Bank.
