Job Description

U.S. Cryo Carriers is a leading provider in the industrial gas distribution sector. We are committed to safety, innovation, and reliability and take pride in our dedicated team of professionals who drive our success. The Cryogenic Trailer Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the fleet of cryogenic trailers in working order. Our trailers include N2, O2, Argon and CO2 trailers. This role works closely with the leadership of the organization as well as with cryogenic drivers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The ability and experience to diagnosis and repair highway delivery equipment including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps Primary mechanical skills include piping/plumbing work on cryogenic systems, troubleshooting of valves and regulators, brazing, and basic electrical troubleshooting Ability to troubleshoot/repair cryogenic trailers and associated equipment in accordance with U.S. Cryo Carriers policies/procedures and DOT regulations Performs preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades Reads/interprets equipment condition reports, repair orders; communicates with supervisor/operator for clarification of problems; discusses preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs Perform call-out maintenance as required, including evening and weekend coverage occasionally Management of inventory Organization will be key as you will be responsible for filing your reports and keeping up with your parts inventory. The mechanic must professionally interact with internal and external parties in order to solve problems We require our employees to be team players and safety is part of our everyday culture. Candidates must be able to learn and think on their feet. Requires computer proficiency including but not limited to; Microsoft Word, Excel, and, internet searches, handheld data entry devices and usage of GPS device.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
2 years of experience in cryogenic maintenance
OR WILLINGNESS TO BE TRAINED.
Computer proficiency and intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and the Google platform (Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Drive). Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company (Prefer CDL with tanker endorsement).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in Google platform is a plus. Computer literate. Ability to be "on call" 24/7 for emergencies and to respond to maintenance related questions associated with the shipment of hazardous materials. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly motivated self-starter, who can effectively prioritize, multi-task and manage to accomplish objectives within tight deadlines. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel for training, auditing, and incident review purposes.
