Job Description

Southern Support Behavioral Health Care, LLC is seeking a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to join our team on a part-time or contract basis. This role supports a developing Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) serving adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The position focuses on facilitating structured group therapy and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate substance use disorder (SUD) group therapy sessions (2-3 groups per day), provide psychoeducation and relapse prevention support, complete clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid and Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) requirements, collaborate with LMHPs, QMHPs, and other clinical staff, support individualized treatment plans and client engagement, and maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications:
Active CSAC certification in Virginia is required. Candidates should have experience working with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders, strong group facilitation and communication skills, knowledge of treatment planning and documentation standards, and the ability to complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Schedule:
Morning to early afternoon hours with approximately 2-3 groups per day. Flexible part-time or contract scheduling options are available.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly or per-group rate based on experience.

Pay:
$24.94 - $30.03 per hour
