Outside the Box is a non-profit day program for adults with disabilities. We are an innovative and forward-thinking organization with a fresh take on disability supports.
Our mission is simple:
To empower people with intellectual disabilities toward personal growth through education, self-discovery, leadership development, and a personalized career path. Outside the Box is seeking hard working, dedicated, compassionate and positive team members to implement curriculum and life skills for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A Curriculum and Life Skills Facilitator is a unique and demanding position that requires a diverse set of skills to really thrive in the role, and our goal is to attract and retain the best people as we recognize this is essential to our growth and success. Candidates should be interested in working within a group, classroom and/or community-based model where you lead small groups of adults toward personal, social, and professional growth. Training in Outside the Box's curriculum and in the Nurture Heart Approach will be provided. Ideal candidates should have experience as a direct support provider, disability teacher. disability advocate, ASL teacher. special education, behavior support specialist, community learning facilitator and life skills instructor.
Curriculum and Life Skills Facilitator:
  • Encourage individuals to be the best version of themselves
  • Teach program curriculum
  • Assist with the physical needs of individuals
  • Assist with goal development and assessing one's strengths
  • Comply with required documentation standards
  • Attend quarterly and annual meetings
  • Advocate for individuals' we support
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Maintain personal vehicle and driving eligibility
Benefits:
$15.00 TO $17.00/Hour with option for growth Paid Training & Certification(s) Consistent Monday - Friday daytime schedule Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Supplemental Insurance Paid time off Holiday pay Monthly Mileage reimbursement Monthly Outing reimbursement
