Custodian Maintenance

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian Maintenance or husband / wife team to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a pristine environment through comprehensive cleaning and custodial duties, supporting the smooth operation of our organization. Your proactive approach to facilities maintenance will help create a welcoming and hygienic space for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained environment while developing your skills in commercial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance tasks. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety Handle janitorial responsibilities including trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces to promote hygiene Assist with custodial tasks related to industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance as needed Support residential painting projects by preparing surfaces and applying paint or touch-ups when required Operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and floor scrubbers efficiently and safely Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, reporting issues promptly for resolution Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings, but not necessary we will train the right persons. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and floor care procedures including buffing and stripping Experience with residential painting or general facilities maintenance is a plus Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and porter responsibilities is advantageous Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards Reliable team player with good communication skills and a strong work ethic Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment!
