Custodian/Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed to uphold safety standards. Carry out custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adapting to the specific needs of each environment. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance issues promptly. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. Skills Strong knowledge of custodial practices including industrial cleaning techniques. Experience with commercial cleaning and floor care methods. Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality work. Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Good communication skills for effective interaction with staff and clients.
