Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. Job Responsibilities:
Main Duties:
Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives which are: Support customers at their locations during launches and through production to address their concerns in a timely and professional manner (Interface with SQE's, production supervisors, engineers, line operators). Communicate customer concerns to appropriate Decostar personnel in a detailed manner. Learn product's flow, process, and assembly componentry as to respond efficiently. Have a complete understanding of Decostar's process flows and product lines. Responsible for issuing Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and dispositioning of those returns at Decostar. Sort materials required to address customer concerns with Decostar liaison(s) and Decostar team members (onsite and/or offsite). Participate in brainstorming and corrective action team meetings and initiate quality alerts. Collect and distribute approved boundary samples and quality standards to the Control Plan Administrators (for each department). Communicate, train, document, and post these standards according to
CPA / QS-9000
requirements. Prepare and submit reports on field representations / activities in appropriate formats (written and electronic). Participate in trials and investigations pertaining to product fit, functioning, in system damage, new product launches, current production parts, racks, packaging, etc. with APQP Program Managers. Maintain appropriate records. Travel as required to customer or sequencing locations to respond expediently to concerns. Maintain accurate expense information and receipts obtained during travel. Complete expense reports as per the Decostar expense report procedure. Perform other duties as required. Educational Requirements Associate's Degree required. Six (6) years work related experience (Three years of work for every one year of schooling) may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered. Related Work Experience Minimum two years' experience in quality assurance required. Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills a must. Must be computer literate in the Windows environment. Employee will be onsite at
