Customer Service Person

Lakeshore Products is a small, family run business that has been around since 1982. We pride ourselves on taking care of our people, and have very little employee turnover because of it. Right now, we are transitioning to being fully self-managed by employees within an overlapping network of teams. What this means is that there are many growth opportunities for individuals to identify the skill sets and capabilities in which they would like to become a leader within the organization, and then step in to those. We are looking to hire a customer service person that has interest in and/or existing computer skills for on-site in Quincy, MI, supporting both Lakeshore Products and our sister company, AlumiRamp. Lakeshore Products manufactures and sells docks and boat lifts to marine dealers, and AlumiRamp manufactures and sells wheelchair access ramps to both the residential and commercial markets. We deal with end users and their customer service needs, but do not sell directly to retail customers.

Initial job responsibilities include:

• Customer Service for both businesses
• Answering phones
• Responding to email
• Managing tickets through a helpdesk system
• Creating quotes for customers
• Entering Sales Orders Bonus points for the following skills:
• Familiarity or desire to learn more about computer systems
• We currently run a Windows network but are transitioning to Ubuntu Linux.
• We currently run DBA/Evo ERP internally, but are transitioning to Odoo.com online.
• Familiarity or interest in basic CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) work
• We are currently building out all of our products in OnShape.com.
• Initial focus would be on developing drawings for customer quotes.
• English Fluency is mandatory but Spanish fluency would also be nice. You can learn more about our products at our websites:
