Warren Averett is seeking an experienced accounting professional for our Montgomery, AL office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing others in an accounting department. Responsibilities Serve as the relationship manager for a portfolio of CAS clients Provide outsourced accounting and advisory services to privately held businesses across various industries Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completeness Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, KPI reporting, and operational analysis Present financial results and recommendations to business owners and leadership teams Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting Review work products and provide timely feedback and training Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload management Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture Guide clients in the selection, implementation, and optimization of accounting systems and related technologies Promote automation and process efficiencies within client environments and internal workflows Maintain knowledge of emerging accounting technologies and industry best practices Identify additional service opportunities that create value for clients Assist with proposals, presentations, and prospect meetings Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA license preferred 5+ years of public accounting, outsourced accounting, or corporate accounting experience Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close processes, and GAAP Experience managing client relationships and leading teams Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously Preferred Experience providing outsourced accounting or advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and CFO-level advisory services Experience implementing accounting systems and process improvements Desired Competencies Strong client focus and consultative mindset Leadership and coaching ability Critical thinking and problem solving Excellent project management skills Business development acumen Adaptability and continuous learning Technology-forward mindset Commitment to delivering exceptional client service Warren Averett is an equal opportunity employer.
