Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Parts and Service Manager to lead our automotive parts and service operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire parts inventory, procurement, and distribution processes while ensuring exceptional customer service in our automotive service department. Your leadership will drive efficiency across supply chain management, supplier relations, and workshop support, fostering a seamless experience for both our team and customers. Duties Manage the procurement process, including sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiating pricing, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality parts. Oversee inventory management using ERP systems and order management systems to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and prevent shortages. Coordinate warehouse activities such as shipping & receiving, storage, and inventory control to maintain an organized and efficient parts department. Lead demand planning efforts by analyzing usage trends and forecasting future needs to support automotive diagnostics, repair, and manufacturing operations. Supervise the parts department staff, including training on equipment repair tools like forklifts and ensuring adherence to safety standards such as HVAC protocols. Collaborate with the automotive service team to streamline parts availability for repairs, auto body work, and equipment repairs while supporting dealership or workshop operations. Utilize data entry skills for accurate record keeping of purchase orders, inventory levels, and shipping documentation while maintaining compliance with company policies. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management within an automotive or manufacturing setting; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, auto body repair processes, and OEM standards. Hands-on warehouse experience with inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse equipment such as forklifts. Familiarity with ERP systems (such as AS400), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and order management systems for efficient procurement and inventory control. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with procurement management expertise to secure favorable terms with suppliers. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair equipment and HVAC systems is advantageous. Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional support to internal teams and external clients. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification; familiarity with logistics, sourcing, demand planning, and shipping & receiving processes are desirable skills.
