POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Manager, US is responsible for leading and supporting a team of field service mechanics assigned to multiple customer sites, requiring frequent in-state and occasional out-of-state travel. This role ensures high levels of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, safety, and cost control, and is accountable for service delivery, field service performance, and continuous improvement of service operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and manage field service mechanics assigned to various customer plants, ensuring service quality, responsiveness, and adherence to company standards. Oversee service staffing, scheduling, and travel coordination to optimize coverage and minimize customer disruption. Act as the primary escalation point for service-related customer concerns. Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams. Analyze recurring service issues to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Manage service-related costs and resources to align with approved budget expectations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for creating reports, presentations, and professional correspondence. Skilled in generating, analyzing, and presenting management reports using Excel and internal reporting systems Regular in-state travel and occasional out-of-state travel required. Drive performance management across multiple plant locations by leveraging KPI tracking, coaching, and accountability measures to improve technician productivity, service quality, and operational consistency. Requires a high degree of flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, site needs, and business demands, including travel, extended hours, and varying work environments. Manage and maintain the company's maintenance/service management software, including ensuring accurate data entry, reporting integrity, and effective utilization by the service team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree (2-year) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and field experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Service Manager or Supervisor. Valid Driver's License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Capable of lifting 50 pounds Capable of working on feet for entire shift (8-10 hours). Capable of working in temperature and non-temperature controlled environment. Capable of climbing, bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder height. Capable of working around moving equipment and machinery. Capable of working with chemical products using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
