JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The position of Air Compressor Service Manager requires a working knowledge of diagnostic repair capabilities of mechanical, electrical, Variable Speed Controllers, basic controls, and knowledge of competitive brands of air compressors on an advanced level. Operates the Compressor Service Department in such a manner that both the company and its customers receive the maximum return on their investment. Maintains customer relations by estimating or quoting all repairs, addressing customer complaints, and resolving them within the same day, if possible. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary Assists salesmen in preparing estimates, and job site evaluations. Coordinate the installation of new compressed air equipment with Sales. Manages Service dispatchers and Compressor service territory. Ensures warranty decisions are made promptly using established guidelines. Creates and maintains service policies and procedures. Reviews service reports carefully to ensure accuracy and complete information. Review and maintain labor records for Service Technicians. Place orders for parts required to complete service orders, and work to expedite the delivery of these orders, as needed. Controls the purchase of tools and supplies. Recommends the purchase of new major tools. Ensures that tools are returned to the tool room. Maintains the Compressor training program and outside training. Travel Compressor service territory ensuring the company and department standards are maintained the same throughout the state. Manages Compressor Service fleet vehicles and replacements. Ensures Contamination control and safety standards are met. Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers. Directly supervises service technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIREMENTS
•Air Compressor Experience is required•Clean and valid California driver's license Background and drug screen Knowledge of parts and maintenance/repair for air compressors or similar machinery preferred. Must be able to work independently and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to customer service. 5 to 7 years of experience in Service and Service management. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills. High School Diploma or related equivalent required. Two years of college or university or related equivalent experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
