Moe Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven General/Service Manager to lead our Signal Hill Plumbing Division, serving the residential, commercial, and industrial service and repair markets. We are seeking a hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, proven team leadership skills, solid estimating capabilities, and a passion for growing both people and business. Position Overview This is an office-based leadership position located in our Signal Hill branch, with regular jobsite and client visits as needed. While strong plumbing field experience is essential, this is not a full-time field position . The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing office operations, customer relationships, team leadership, estimating and project scoping, and field support when necessary. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the plumbing service division Oversee, mentor, and develop service technicians and office staff to drive performance and professional growth Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing service and repair work Perform job walks, assess project scope, evaluate labor/material requirements, and develop pricing strategies to ensure profitability and competitiveness Estimate, sell, and oversee plumbing service and repair work Maintain high standards for training, workmanship, customer service, and safety compliance Review and interpret financial reports to support profitability and operational performance Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively Establish divisional goals and execute strategies to achieve measurable results Participate in local outreach and relationship-building efforts to grow brand awareness and business development Stay current on plumbing trends, code requirements, and industry best practices Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Journeyman Plumber or higher certification/licensing Minimum 5+ years of management experience overseeing plumbing service/repair technicians and office personnel Strong estimating experience with the ability to scope work, prepare accurate bids, analyze labor and material costs, and maintain target margins Strong sales experience within plumbing repair and service Experience reviewing plans, specifications, field conditions, and customer needs to develop practical and profitable solutions Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop technicians and staff Working knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and operational metrics Strong understanding of safety standards and the ability to enforce protocols Excellent communication and customer service skills, including conflict and complaint resolution Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and the ability to interpret plumbing code requirements A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with strong leadership capabilities Experience working within a union environment preferred What We Offer Competitive salary Medical insurance 401(k) Profit sharing Company vehicle Opportunity to join a respected union contractor with nearly a century of industry excellence If you are a motivated plumbing professional with strong leadership and estimating expertise, ready to lead a high-performing service division, we'd like to hear from you.
