EVERY SATURDAY
from July through November!
THIS IS NOT A SPORADIC POSITION
we need reliable help every single Saturday. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with community members, promote local produce, and ensure a lively, welcoming market environment. You will be the friendly face of the market, helping shoppers while maintaining smooth operations with lots of restocking. If you enjoy working outdoors, connecting with people, and supporting local agriculture, this position is perfect for you! All positions are paid, offering valuable experience in retail and customer service within a dynamic community setting. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Please do not apply if you are not available on literally every Saturday July-November. Responsibilities Greet vendors and shoppers with enthusiasm, providing excellent customer service and assistance throughout the market hours Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for sales transactions (it's super easy), including cash handling and credit card processing Restock our booth and ensure products are attractively presented and properly labeled. If you love local and real food, this is a great gig.
Requirements:
MUST BE ON TIME AND ABLE TO COMMIT, YOU CANNOT FLAKE ON US FRIDAY NIGHTS!
Previous experience with cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not essential Strong communication skills and friendly etiquette are a must for engaging with customers Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Experience in retail environments is beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions during market hours. It's rain or shine! Join us in creating a lively marketplace that celebrates local farmers! Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and customer service skills to make each Saturday at the farmers market an enjoyable experience for all. We are chill people, but we show up to work hard and get our job done. Big bonus of this job is taking home gorgeous veggies each week. We sell only what we produce on our farm!
