In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage a team of skilled technicians. Your passion for outdoor sports equipment will drive the success of our service offerings. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the service team to deliver top-quality bicycle, ski, and snowboard maintenance and repairs. Transition to ski & binding technician, mounting and tuning skis, during the winter months Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and inventory control of parts and tools. Must possess technical proficiency in bicycle diagnosis, repair and building, such as hydraulic brake service, suspension, and basic maintenance Ensure all services are performed efficiently, accurately, and according to manufacturer specifications. Provide excellent customer service by advising clients on repairs, maintenance options, and product recommendations. Oversee upselling opportunities to maximize sales while maintaining customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed service records, write clear estimates, and ensure proper documentation for all repairs. Monitor shop safety standards, enforce policies, and promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience or extensive service management background in a retail environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle maintenance. Complete knowledge with bicycle, ski, and snowboard servicing is highly desirable; experience with related equipment is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products and services confidently. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times.
