Job Description

The Health & Lifestyle Center at The Commons Club at The Brooks is seeking s motivated, customer centric individual to join our team as a Fitness / Wellness Assistant Manager.
Job Summary:
This is a supervisory position in one of SWFL's top private clubs - which can be a catalyst for future positions in the wellness / healthcare field. This position aids in recruiting and training customer service employees, manages the employee schedule, oversees daily employee interactions with members, handles any questions or complaints and reports to the Health & Lifestyle Director.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all interaction with members and guests to ensure all service requirements are met.
  • Recruit and train front desk customer service staff.
  • Establish a set of service requirements; create and host training workshops to ensure all front desk staff fully understand the requirement and are adhering to it precisely.
  • Respond to member inquiries and requests regarding services and other related matters.
  • Devise ways to improve customer service and member relationships.
  • Assists in designing promotional and business related materials.
  • Manages employee schedule.
  • Organizes and creates monthly group fitness schedules.
  • Promotes company products and services.
  • Participate in staff meetings, plan planning sessions, and participate in departmental planning meetings as needed.
  • Creates monthly reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Must have at least 2 to 3 consistent years of service in a similar profession.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Knowledge of Jonas Club Management a plus; Demonstrate good leadership skills; Exhibits excellent customer service skills; Excellent organizational skills; Works well with a team; Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays; Possesses strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure; Ability to multi-task; Is a quick thinker and able to adapt to situations effectively; Must be punctual, professional and personal with members and co-workers.
