Full Job Description Description:
Assists in coordinating and directing the workload of the assigned ASP technician team for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work. Advises and recommends to the ASP Service Manager skills and training needs for the assigned technicians.
Responsibilities:
Monitors ASP Service Department metrics monthly to ensure achievement of goals Provides performance feedback for assigned ASP service technicians to the ASP Service Manager Oversees and directs the ASP technicians in scheduling work and performance Directs and assists ASP technicians in the diagnosis of machine problems Assists in the quoting of ASP repair orders coming into the Service Department and reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order May approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer Opens work orders as directed by the ASP Service Manager and maintains control until closed and invoiced Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department Attends schooling and seminars as directed by management Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on ASP equipment May participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs Supports customer clinics May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment, ensuring all are in good working order Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
5+ years experience in Service Department operations, with commercial application equipment experience preferred Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups Familiar with John Deere and competitive products Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports Ability to work extended hours and weekends Excellent customer service skills Associate degree or equivalent experience
Pay Range:
$32.00 - $45.00 per hour
