Full-Time Quality Coordinator in Domestic Violence Shelter (Weekday - Nights) 40 hours/week YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a full-time, overnight shelter quality coordinator to work Tuesday through Saturday midnight to 8 a.m. This is the typical shift, but subject to change as needs arise. Quality coordinator provides services to residential clients and ensures data and client services are properly documented by auditing client files as well as gathering and entering any missing data. Strong computer skills are required, including experience with Excel. Ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills in order to handle nightly crisis calls, determine if callers are appropriate for our shelter, address any needs that arise overnight, and ensure facility safety. Previous social work background is desired. The shift duties also include maintaining inventory of food, hygiene items, etc.; restocking said items; and notifying appropriate point person of items that need to be ordered. Ideal candidate will be a dependable, self-starter, team player, flexible, dependable, and possess an eagerness to learn more about social services. Ideal candidate will also exhibit good written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and attention to detail. This position will work with diverse populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner. Shelter quality coordinator will be cross-trained to assist in all housing programs. Paid vacation, personal and sick leave is also available to full-time employees. Pay Range $39,520/year - $43,680/year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Application Responsibilities Ensures direct services are recorded accurately within appropriate databases; Assists director of operations with any data entry issues; Compiles and maintains intake; exit; job readiness; and self-sufficiency folders; Enters client information in database systems including crisis calls; Conducts audits on files for housing programs. Take crisis calls; Provides orientation and intake services for women and children entering housing; Provides services to all clients as needed; Completes daily floor/room check and, where warranted, completes Repair Reports; Provides services to all clients as needed, including referrals to other shelters, medication assistance and transportation assistance; Confers regularly with supervisor; Attends a minimum of 10 hours of professional development conferences and workshops as recommended by supervisor; Coordinates client security and emergency response and follows emergency procedures; Maintains confidentiality; Demonstrates initiative and responsibility; Assisting with front desk duties as needed; Qualifications Social work or business degree /certification preferred; experience in a social service field; communication skills, organizational skills, ability to coordinate tasks with full time and part time staff. Must have the ability to work with diverse populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.
