Role:

Washler Garbage & Recycling in Garrett, IN is looking for a motivated and experienced Customer Service Working Supervisor to join our team! In this hands-on leadership role, you'll guide a customer service team while staying actively involved in daily operations — making a real impact in the community we serve.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and support customer service staff while actively participating in day-to-day operations Handle inbound customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests via phone, email, and in-person Train, coach, and mentor customer service team members to ensure consistent, high-quality service Monitor team performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to resolve service issues and scheduling concerns Maintain accurate customer account records and process billing or service changes as needed Identify process improvements to enhance the overall customer experience

Requirements:

2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in waste management, utilities, or a related field 2+ years prior supervisory lead experience required Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment Proficiency with basic computer systems and customer account software Reliable, punctual, and a natural team leader with a positive attitude High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus
