Built in 2005, Kingpin is a premier bowling venue in Kentucky and Southern Indiana with over fifty lanes, mini bowling, lounge , and arcade all in 65,000 square feet of facility. Service Leads will report to the Department Managers & Assistant General Manager depending on what department they are working in. Service Leads will be trained to be proficient in working all main areas(front desk, lane tech, cafe counter, expo & arcade). These employees will be able to work in any of these positions and float to areas in need. During opening/ shift change over/ closing of the facility, Service Lead will be expected to help department managers with the duties required for these processes. In the case that a manager must leave a department to handle an issue on the floor, a service lead will be expected to lead that area til they return. Service leads will also help with training of new staff members. Prior experience in the bowling industry is beneficial but not required. Great customer service skills are a requirement and ability to work in a challenging environment. Work hours will primarily be 2nd shift with nights and weekends being the majority of opportunities for hours. Some daytime work is available and the needs can shift throughout the year. The position is great for anyone wanting to work to be in management in the future.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Aiding in the opening and closing of the facility as well as shift change overs
- Provide operational and customer service training to all staff
- Handling money, closing out shifts and filling out check out paperwork
- Ability to learn multiple positions and transition to different areas when needed
- Learn by example; facilitating a team environment
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the GM
- Help to facilitate any customer or employee incidents to a resolution and document them if a manager is not available Prior Experience preferences; job skills
- -Experience in the food & beverage/ hospitality industry not required but preferred.
- Desire to work in a challenging environment and to deliver excellent customer service Flexibility
- Availability to work nights, weekends, as well as some holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods
- Must be able to lift 20lbs
- Must be able to walk frequently
