Job Description

Client Success Advocate (Account Manager / vCIO) Fastek Technology Services — [Owensboro, KY] About the Role Fastek is looking for a Client Success Advocate to serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of managed IT services clients. This isn't a typical account management or help-desk role — it's a consultative, advisory position that blends account management, virtual CIO (vCIO) guidance, and business development with existing clients. You'll help clients align their technology with their business goals, reduce risk, and plan ahead instead of reacting to problems. We don't believe in selling for the sake of selling. Growth in this role comes from being a trusted advisor who helps clients make smart, proactive decisions about their technology — not from pressure-based tactics. What You'll Do Own the day-to-day relationship for ~40 assigned managed services clients Plan and lead quarterly Technology Success Meetings (TSMs) — consultative check-ins that uncover business needs, risk exposure, and growth opportunities Identify, scope, and quote hardware, security, and infrastructure projects for existing clients Manage technology lifecycle and replacement planning so clients avoid being surprised by aging equipment Coordinate with our Service Desk, Projects, and Security teams to keep client accounts running smoothly Maintain accurate documentation and opportunity tracking in our CRM and lifecycle management tools Build long-term, trust-based relationships — not transactional ones What Success Looks Like Consistent client meeting cadence and strong client retention Clients feel informed, not surprised, about their technology needs Opportunities and recommendations are well-documented and followed through Growth in revenue is a byproduct of good advice, not a sales quota chased for its own sake What We're Looking For Background in IT, business development, or account/relationship management (a background in another consultative or administrative field with strong organizational skills is welcome — full training on our tools and technical concepts is available) Comfortable discussing both technology and money with clients Strong organizational skills — you'll be juggling multiple accounts, meetings, and follow-ups at once Naturally proactive; you spot problems before they become emergencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license (client visits required) What We Offer Base salary plus incentive/bonus compensation Health insurance stipend Unlimited discretionary vacation (manager approval) Simple IRA retirement plan after 90 days Paid holidays Life insurance Short-term disability coverage How to Apply Email resume to resumes@fastekllc.com; no phone calls, please.
