Job Description

Job description Overview We are hiring a Field Operations Leader at Federation Pest Control. This is not a corporate pest control job. This is a startup pest control company. We are building a new company with the goal of becoming one of the dominant pest control companies in New England over the next 5 years. That means things will change quickly. We will constantly improve our processes, and you will be expected to contribute. Our standards will evolve and you will be expected to continually raise our bar of expectations. But we will always focus on the customer experience. Right now, the company is growing quickly, and I personally cannot spend all day in a van handling recurring services and callbacks while also building the company, improving systems, hiring, marketing, and growing the operation. So we are looking for someone who wants to help build this with us. Not just someone looking for a job. This role is for someone who wants ownership, responsibility, growth, and the chance to be an early foundational hire in a company that plans to scale aggressively.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performing residential and multifamily pest control services Communicating directly with customers Educating customers on treatment plans and prevention Handling recurring services and follow-up visits Identifying pest activity, entry points, and sanitation concerns Maintaining clean and organized equipment and vehicle setup Helping improve field processes and customer experience over time
Experience:
Pest control experience is nice, but not required. If you have product knowledge, application knowledge, licensing experience, construction experience, or trade experience, that's great. But customer communication matters more than technical knowledge. Technical skills can be taught. People skills usually cannot be taught. If you're comfortable talking to customers, solving problems, explaining things clearly, and representing a company professionally, we can train the rest.
Compensation:
Target compensation starts around the equivalent of $30/hour base compensation depending on experience Performance bonuses Upsell incentives Quarterly bonuses tied to customer retention, reviews, and overall performance Significant room for advancement as the company grows This is a young company, so flexibility is important. Some days will be smooth and some days will be chaotic, but we are building quickly.

We are looking for someone who can adapt, communicate, solve problems, and help us continue improving.
This Job Is NOT For You If:
You want an easy 9-5 You dislike talking to people You don't take pride in your work You like doing the bare minimum You need constant supervision You don't like change You don't care deeply about customer experience You want a low-effort job where nobody notices mediocre work
This Job IS For You If:
You want to grow with a company You want real opportunity and responsibility You enjoy solving problems You like working with people You take pride in doing things correctly You want your work to actually matter You're hungry and want to be part of building something big
A Few Things To Understand:
This company is young. There will be fun. But there will be much more work than fun. We care deeply about building a great company, building a great reputation, and becoming elite at customer service. You will be expected to contribute, learn, and help improve our service. And if you're the right person, there will be serious room for growth here as the company expands.
How To :
DO NOT email asking if the job is available. DO NOT blindly send a resume. It will be ignored. To apply, text a 1 to 2 minute video introducing yourself and explaining why you think you'd be a good fit for this role to: 508-320-7550 The video does not need to be a professionally filmed video. A simple phone selfie video is completely fine. Feel free to include anything you think helps your application: experience personality work ethic goals customer service background trade experience why this role interests you We are not looking for someone to just fill a seat.

We are looking for someone who wants to help build a company, take pride in their work, and grow with us as we scale. If that excites you, send the video. If it doesn't, this probably isn't the right fit, and that's okay.
