Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all supervisory and daily operational functions of the Central Scheduling Department. Leads by example and collaborates with staff as an organizer, content expert, and coach. Functions as the liaison for patients and families by problem solving and dispute resolution. Is a key member of the department management team and shares successful accomplishments of access, service, quality, and financial goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Prior supervisory experience preferred. Central Scheduling Department experience preferred. Prior customer service experience required. Call Center experience preferred.
Education:
High School diploma is required. Associate's degree preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
None.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of Medical Terminology is preferred. Excellent, clerical, and organizational skills are required. Excellent people skills with proven ability and experience dealing with patients, families, physicians, and other department leaders. Ability to assume a leadership role within the department and lead staff to service excellence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality, result-driven, team-oriented environment. Able to Flex into a working supervisor to cover any and all needs of the department as needed. Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks throughout the workday. Demonstrates competency in handling confidential and sensitive information. Flexible hours required to cover for staff and Department Manager vacations and earned time absences.
