You will have the full support and backing of some of the most experienced tradesmen, craftsmen, and technicians in the marine industry, giving you the firepower to deliver extraordinary outcomes on even the most complex refit and maintenance projects. This role demands relentless organization, flawless communication, real hands-on seamanship, and 3+ years of proven boatyard leadership — because our customers settle for nothing less and neither do we. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Display an understanding and commitment to Bristol Marine's core values including Pride, Commitment, and Having each others back. Use expertise to advise customers through both routine and complex service needs. Project managers are expected to have advanced knowledge of both sail and power boats and their associated systems. Act as the primary contact for customer projects at a busy full service refit yard. Ensure customers receive the highest level of communication at all times throughout their project. Manage projects while always prioritizing the customer experience and maintain the highest quality of the work. Complete invoicing and other related administrative responsibilities in a timely manner and as directed by the General Manager Develop rapport and working relationship with trade departments, other supervisors, staff and General Manager. Show leadership qualities and demonstrate willingness to work with and for others. Attend organizational meetings and communicate directly with department foreman and general manager office to coordinate schedule of service Oversee work orders in progress and monitor their progress and relationship to estimated hours. Communicate with foreman to schedule work and update customers regularly on any changes in the scope of work or hours needed to complete. Work closely with office staff to acquire skills necessary for successful leadership (PierVantage and Google Cloud software, scheduling, planning) While a 40 hour work week is standard, this role may require additional hours may be needed driven by work load and seasonal demands Communicate through cell phone, text, email etc. as needed by self and supervisor to maximize lines of communication.
