About Us Southern Alarm & Security has protected homes and businesses across Western North Carolina and the Grand Strand for over 90 years. As a licensed fire alarm and low-voltage security contractor, our Franklin branch plays a key role in serving customers throughout the region. Position Summary The Installation Manager oversees the scheduling and administrative coordination of installation, service, and go-back work for the Franklin branch. This role is the operational hub connecting sales, technicians, and customers — ensuring jobs are scheduled efficiently, deposits and final invoices are collected, customer data is accurately entered into our monitoring and CRM systems, and no customer falls through the cracks when it comes to service needs or required testing. This is a highly organized, detail-driven role suited for someone who thrives on juggling schedules, communicating with customers, and keeping accurate records. Key Responsibilities Installation & Job Scheduling Schedule new installation jobs with customers and technicians, coordinating timing and logistics Collect deposits from customers prior to installation per company policy Schedule "go-backs" (return trips) to complete outstanding installation work or address punch-list items Coordinate with technicians to ensure schedules are realistic and communicated clearly Service Coordination Assist with scheduling service calls as needed, balancing technician availability with customer urgency Review overnight messages/voicemails from customers requesting service and call them back promptly to get calls on the schedule Serve as a point of contact for customers with scheduling questions or concerns Billing & Invoicing Send final invoices to customers upon completion of installation jobs Ensure accurate and timely entry of customer, system, and account data into the central station monitoring platform and CRM Verify that all paperwork and job documentation is complete before closing out a job Recurring Testing & Customer Check-Ins Run regular reports identifying customers who are late for required fire/life-safety testing Proactively call these customers to schedule testing and address any concerns before they escalate Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant certifications a plus Prior experience in scheduling, dispatch, office administration, or the alarm/security/low-voltage industry preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously Comfortable handling customer payments/deposits and invoicing Proficiency with CRM software, monitoring platforms, and general office software (training provided on company-specific systems) Excellent phone and written communication skills Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry Ability to work independently and make sound scheduling decisions What We Offer Growth opportunities within a stable, 90+ year old company Central role with direct impact on branch operations and customer satisfaction 100% company-paid health insurance premium after 90 days of employment 401(k) with company match 50% company-paid dental insurance premium Paid time off
