Multiple positions and locations available! About us Anstead's Tobacco Company is a small business in Fayetteville, NC that has expanded as The Cigar Barn in the Garner and Wake Forest areas. We are professional, agile, social and our goal is to provide an exceptional cigar and pipe experience and bring premium products to the surrounding area. We are a Premium Cigar retailer with over 50 years of doing business in the Fayetteville area. We are looking for positions for our Garner store. We have the status as one of the industry's premier retail tobacconists. We offer an exceptional cigar and pipe smoking experience that makes our customers continue to come back. Our focus on the customer is a priority and our biggest reason for continued success. We are looking for someone who loves people, cigars, and growth. We are looking for part-time team members at our Garner location and part-time and full-time team members at our new Wake Forest location, opening in November 2026. We're looking for friendly, dependable people who enjoy working with customers and want to be part of a growing team. Previous cigar or tobacco experience is a plus, but not required—we're willing to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing high quality customer service Building relationships with customers Educate customers on products, events, and resources Assist in complete operations of the shop to include (but not limited to) counting down registers, answering phones, managing inventory, and restocking Ensure a safe, comfortable, and clean environment Follow Anstead's Tobacco Co. Operating procedures

Skills and Competencies Required:

Self-motivated to offer a top-notch customer experience Basic cigar knowledge and want to learn more about exceptional pipes and cigars Strong professional communication skills Ability to build relationships with co-workers and customers Enjoys smoking pipes and/or cigars

Qualifications:

21 years of age (required) Clear background check US Citizen or authorized Non-US Citizen and verified through E-Verify Cigar knowledge and retail sales experience preferred Premium Cigar smoking: 1 year (required)

Physical Demands:

In addition to customer service, employees will regularly stand, walk, and reach items on shelves or in storage areas. Employees are expected to be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 75% of their shift. We will be open 6 days a week. Weekends and closing shifts will be required, but rotating schedules may be an option.
