Job Description:
Service Manager - Windows & Doors Direct Hire | Full-Time | Crete, NE We are looking for a Service Manager for a well-established window and door manufacturer in Crete, NE. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems, and knows how to work with both customers and field technicians to make sure issues are handled the right way. The Service Manager will lead a small team of two service technicians responsible for installations, repairs, and service calls. You will not be the person doing the day-to-day installations. Instead, you'll be the person your technicians and customers turn to when something isn't going as planned and a solution needs to be found. You do not need window or fiberglass experience. The company will teach you the product. We're looking for someone with a strong construction, mechanical, maintenance, field service, or installation background who understands how things work and is good at figuring things out. What You'll Be Doing Lead and coordinate two service technicians Schedule installations, service calls, repairs, and follow-up work Troubleshoot installation and product issues with technicians in the field Work directly with customers when questions, concerns, or service issues arise Determine whether an issue involves installation, product, hardware, parts, or another cause Help technicians determine the best solution when problems arise on a job Coordinate repairs, adjustments, replacement parts, and additional service Make sure technicians have the information, materials, and parts they need Follow issues through from the initial call until they are completely resolved Work with manufacturing and other departments when additional support is needed Document service issues, repairs, and resolutions Identify recurring issues and help determine how they can be prevented Maintain a high level of customer service, even when dealing with a frustrated customer What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, resourceful, organized, and comfortable taking ownership.
Your experience could come from:
Construction | Windows & Doors | Field Service | Maintenance | Mechanical | HVAC | Electrical | Remodeling | Manufacturing | Skilled Trades The right person will: Enjoy figuring out why something isn't working Understand construction, installation, or mechanical concepts Be a strong troubleshooter and problem solver Have previous leadership or management experience Be comfortable directing and supporting field technicians Communicate well with customers, including when there's a problem Stay calm and professional when things don't go according to plan Take ownership and follow through until an issue is resolved Be organized and able to manage several priorities at once Be comfortable with computers and technology More Than Just a Desk Job While you won't be doing the day-to-day installations, this isn't a position where you'll simply sit behind a desk and manage a schedule. You might be talking with a customer about an issue, reviewing photos from a jobsite, helping a technician troubleshoot an installation, coordinating replacement parts, working with manufacturing, or determining what needs to happen next to get the problem resolved. The company will teach you the fiberglass window product. You bring the mechanical knowledge, problem-solving ability, leadership skills, and customer service experience.
