Job Description

If you are new to, or interested in, the field of veterinary medicine and looking to gain high-quality experience and knowledge - or if you have experience in veterinary reception and are looking to escape the chaos and long hours of emergency medicine - Katz & Dogs Animal Hospital could be your happy home. As our busy hospital moves forward to expand our team, we are excited to announce a job opening for a Care Coordinator in our beautiful office in Upper Montclair. We are looking for a team member with a friendly attitude, and both computer and customer service experience. All interested individuals are encouraged to apply. This position does require in depth training therefore we seek a longer term commitment from applicants. As such at this time we will not consider applicants looking solely for summertime employment. We ask that applicants seeking part-time employment can commit to at least two full days a week. What we offer our team members: veterinary medical, surgical, and behavioral services for team members' animals excellent work-life balance with our sweet schedule; we are open four days a week, with one to two evening requirements and only two Saturdays a month training health insurance competitive pay commensurate with experience, with opportunity for pay increases Job duties include, but are not limited to: greeting clients helping with pet care at the front desk and by phone maintaining medical files handling patients taking histories understanding patient and client needs to help them in an efficient and accurate manner scheduling appointments filing medications closing responsibilities (light cleaning, reconciling financial transactions, communication with referral hospitals) Persons with little to no experience are welcome to apply, as we are willing to train and develop a successful Care Coordinator. It is important to consider that this position requires efficient multitasking, as call volumes are high in addition to the various other duties related to the job.
