Role Description The Akron Ohio BMV Agency Customer Care Team role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Akron, OH branch. Team members assist customers with driver's license and vehicle registration transactions, answer questions about documentation requirements, and guide visitors through state BMV processes. Because every transaction is a legal document a high attention to detail is a requirement. Daily responsibilities include verifying forms and identification, processing payments, entering data accurately into agency systems, and maintaining organized records. The role involves providing kind, courteous, efficient service at the counter, managing customer queues, resolving basic issues, and escalating complex concerns to supervisors as needed. Team members are expected to follow established procedures, uphold state regulations, and contribute to a professional and welcoming environment. Qualifications Strong customer-focused abilities, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills, with a commitment to kind, respectful, friendly interactions. Experience in Customer Support, including assisting visitors in person, responding to inquiries, and managing customer expectations. Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain procedures and requirements clearly and professionally. Analytical Skills to review documents, verify information, and follow detailed state and agency guidelines accurately. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and use of office software or point-of-sale systems. Ability to work on-site full-time, stand for extended periods, and handle a steady flow of customer traffic. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in retail, public service, or office administration is beneficial. Reliability, integrity, and willingness to learn BMV procedures and regulations; bilingual abilities are a plus.
