The ideal candidate will possess extensive dealership experience and a strong background in vehicle service management, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This leadership role involves overseeing daily service operations, managing a team of technicians, and driving business growth through effective up-selling and customer engagement. The Service Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of vehicle repair and service quality while fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Manage daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Oversee mechanic activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue through up-selling additional services and vehicle maintenance packages. Maintain excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally. Handle estimating and service writing to accurately document repair procedures and costs. Manage cash handling processes and maintain accurate financial records. Train and mentor staff to improve technical skills and customer interaction. Monitor inventory levels with parts manager for parts and supplies necessary for daily operations. Collaborate with sales teams to promote vehicle sales alongside service offerings when applicable. Qualifications Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of vehicle service management. Extensive knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems. Experience in estimating, service writing, and up-selling techniques to enhance revenue streams. Background in mechanic work or automotive repair is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complex situations professionally. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation such as work orders and estimates. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
