This position is responsible for maintaining the current business in a specified territory by providing day-to-day customer service support. This person plays a critical role in the order management processes ensuring the timely process of orders and realistic delivery dates are confirmed.Primary Responsibilities:
Strong ability to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions. Acknowledges customer orders received via telephone, email, and fax within 24 hours. Uses procedures and discretion to respond to inquiries, formulates quotes and upsell new product where applicable. Consistently verifies pricing, applies applicable discounts and fees according to company policy to ensure high levels of service and revenue. Provides necessary sales, order and customer information and escalates risks or potential problems with customer orders to the appropriate team members in manufacturing, engineering, production planning, etc. Negotiate expedite fees and scheduling deviations requests for rushed deliveries. Clearly communicate updated order acknowledgment to customer and update internal systems as needed. Captures customer complaints and tracks in accordance with established practices and procedures. Works to ensure timely feedback to customer. Work closely with members of a sales team to coordinate internal information requests, technical information and quotes and collaborate with Regional Manager and Field Service Technician. With management guidance, proactively contacts and sells products to existing customers.Basic Qualifications Education and Experience:
4-year degree in business related field or comparable experience preferred. 2+ years of related customer service, sales and account management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in packaging or food packaging industries preferred Other requirements: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Desire to drive accountability across project teams and cross functional teams Strong teamwork, active listening and problem-solving skills Able to work independently or as member of a team; must be organized and meet deadlines in stressful situationsSimilar remote jobs
