Job Description

If you're someone who loves being around families and kids, takes pride in making people feel genuinely welcome, and finds real satisfaction in keeping things organized and running smoothly, this may be the perfect fit for you. About the Role Sanders Fine Portraits is a luxury fine art portrait studio in Highland Park, and we're looking for a warm, dependable, exceptionally detail-oriented person to join our small in-studio team. You'll be backing up our studio manager, keeping client communication tight, and making sure every family that walks through our door feels taken care of from the first phone call to the moment they leave.
What the schedule looks like:
In-studio days are long - typically 10 to 12 hours - but you'll only be in two days per week. The remaining 1 to 2 days are remote and flexible, focused on appointment confirmation calls and client follow-up. This is steady, relationship-based phone work, not cold calling. In total, you can expect to average 30 to 34 hours per week.
What You'll Actually Do In-studio:
Greet and welcome clients into a beautiful, upscale environment Supervise and engage with children during sessions, keeping them comfortable, entertained, and safe while the team works Help families feel at ease from the moment they arrive Keep the studio organized, polished, and running smoothly Assist the studio manager with day-to-day logistics From home: Make confirmation calls and follow up with clients ahead of their appointments Handle client questions and communication with warmth and professionalism Keep records accurate and details airtight You're probably a great fit if: You have experience in a customer-facing role and genuinely enjoyed it - childcare, hospitality, front desk, retail, or something similar You're great with kids - patient, energetic, and naturally good at keeping them engaged. People who know you would describe you as dependable, warm, and easy to work with. Missed follow-ups and loose ends bother you. You're someone who closes the loop. You're comfortable on the phone and don't dread a call-heavy day. You'd rather be part of a great team than be the one running it. You take pride in the small things: a well-confirmed appointment, a tidy space, a child who felt safe, a client who left happy. Compensation & Schedule $19/hour Up to $300/month bonus based on appointment retention Health and wellness benefit Paid training Hybrid schedule: 2 days in-studio, 1 to 2 days remote Long-term, stable role. This is NOT a seasonal position. We're a small, close-knit team creating heirloom portrait artwork for families across the North Shore. Our studio is beautiful, we treat our clients like family, and we take the experience and the artwork we deliver seriously. The right person will feel proud to be part of what we do here. If this sounds like your kind of work, we'd love to hear from you.
