Deep Indian Kitchen We are Deep Indian Kitchen®. You may have seen us in the frozen aisles of over 25,000 natural and conventional grocery, mass, club, and drug stores or been to our fast-casual restaurant in Union, NJ. Or, if you shop at Indian grocery stores, you know our parent company Deep Foods Inc. as your trusted manufacturer and brand with over 1200 SKUs. Our brand is on fire now but it hasn't been long since late 2019, when we began a turnaround and rebrand of our Tandoor Chef® frozen brand and Indikitch® restaurants to Deep Indian Kitchen®. There was a need to fill with millennials and foodies actively seeking authentic ethnic experiences, but lacking high quality, modern Indian options. Our differentiated approach and products have made us the #1 fastest selling natural frozen entrée brand in America, with rapid household penetration growth, over 180K followers on Instagram and TikTok…we could go on. And we know it's cliché to say "we're just getting started," but we don't know of any other aspiring 'platform brand' that gets to pick and choose from a 1200 SKU innovation pipeline. Deep Indian Kitchen's parent company, Deep Foods, was founded by the Amin family matriarch, Bhagwati Amin, and is now owned and operated by three generations of the Amin family. In late 2019, Deep Foods launched the Deep Indian Kitchen brand, which includes a line of frozen foods and NYC-metro-based Fast Casual Restaurants, to elevate and expand access to Indian food in mainstream America. It has become one of the fastest-growing frozen food brands in the U.S. and the #1 Indian brand on social media. It's delicious, authentic, always-made-from-scratch frozen meals and appetizers are available in 25,000 grocery stores nationwide. What You Will Do As the Customer Service Coordinator, you will own the day-to-day order management process end-to-end, ensuring accurate order entry, pricing verification, and timely issue resolution from order through delivery and invoicing. You will manage customer and distributor relationships, oversee EDI setup and transaction troubleshooting. Partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, IT, and external providers to improve service and efficiency through reporting and KPI-driven process improvements. This role reports to the VP of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily order management, including order entry, pricing verification, and resolving all exceptions to ensure the timely processing of orders through the Order to Delivery & Invoicing cycle. Manage direct relationships with customers and distributors regarding order management and delivery for exceptional service. Identify order management KPIs and set up processes for improvement. Work with the operations team to ensure customer communication on product inventory availability for order fulfillment. Timely processing of all customer invoices, work with Finance and deduction teams on Order/Invoice reconciliation. Manage EDI setup, testing, and successful completion by working with cross-function teams of IT, Supply chain, and external partners. Oversee EDI transactions with ERP/3PL softwares and investigate issues, working primarily with SPS/EDI Provider team and Internal IT team to reconcile issues. Prepare agenda and lead weekly EDI calls with EDI providers and IT team. Proactively communicate late deliveries and order changes to all internal teams and customers. Prepare weekly customer service reports. Become a subject matter expert in customer requirements and drive internal awareness to achieve excellent customer service. The scope of this role may change as needed. Bachelor's degree in a related field 3-5 years of operations experience in CPG or related field, preferably with food and emerging brand experience Exceptional people leadership and management skills - up, down, and lateral.
