Position Summary Axess Americas Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Service Manager to lead the deployment, support, and operational execution of access control systems within the stadium, arena, and live event sector. This is a senior-level leadership role responsible for managing field operations, technical integrations, customer relationships, and onsite event delivery across North America. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience supporting mission-critical event technology environments, and advanced technical expertise including SQL database management, troubleshooting, and systems integration. This individual will serve as a key operational leader working directly with sports venues, entertainment facilities, ticketing providers, and event stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Field Operations & Event Delivery Lead and manage field service operations for stadiums, arenas, festivals, and large-scale live events. Oversee installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support of access control and ticket scanning systems. Coordinate onsite event operations including staffing, logistics, system readiness, testing, and troubleshooting. Ensure all deployments meet operational, security, and customer service standards. Travel extensively to client venues and event locations throughout North America. Technical Leadership Provide senior-level troubleshooting and escalation support for software, hardware, and networking issues. Manage SQL databases including queries, reporting, diagnostics, data validation, and operational troubleshooting. Support integrations between access control systems and third-party ticketing platforms including: Ticketmaster TM Entry Paciolan Secutix Other venue and event management systems Analyze operational data and system performance metrics to improve event execution and reporting. Assist in development and refinement of operational processes, SOPs, and technical documentation. Leadership & Client Management Serve as the senior technical and operational point of contact for key clients and event stakeholders. Mentor and support field technicians and junior operational staff. Assist with resource planning, scheduling, staffing coordination, and contractor management. Conduct customer meetings, operational reviews, and technical planning sessions. Support sales and project management teams with technical consultation and solution design. Process Improvement & Strategy Help drive continuous improvement initiatives across field operations and service delivery. Participate in strategic planning for new technologies, operational enhancements, and future event deployments. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, equipment planning, and operational scalability initiatives. Training & Development Initial onboarding and advanced technical training will be conducted at Axess AG headquarters in the Salzburg, Austria area.
Training will include:
AXESS hardware and software systems Stadium and arena event operations SQL database and reporting environments Ticketing system integrations Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics Operational best practices for live event environments Periodic international travel to Austria and other event locations may be required for ongoing training, certifications, and project support. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in field service, stadium operations, live events, or access control systems. 3+ years in a senior or leadership role managing technical teams or event operations.
Strong SQL experience including:
Writing queries Database troubleshooting Reporting and data validation Working knowledge of relational databases Experience supporting mission-critical technology environments with high uptime requirements.
Strong understanding of:
Networking fundamentals TCP/IP communications Wi-Fi infrastructure Hardware/software integration RFID and barcode credentialing systems Experience with ticketing and venue technology ecosystems preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event requirements. Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively. Preferred Qualifications Experience in professional sports, entertainment venues, or mega-events. Familiarity with access control platforms, turnstile systems, and credentialing technologies. Experience with cloud-based operational platforms and remote support tools. Project management experience is a strong plus. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
