Our Dairy Sales and Technical Service team supports customers across North America with deep expertise, collaborative problem‑solving, and a consultative approach to selling food culture and enzyme solutions. The team includes account managers, technical service managers, and sales leadership working closely together to help dairy producers succeed. The Role & Your Impact As Technical Service Manager - Central Valley California, you will be a key technical partner to our dairy customers, focusing primarily on cheese production (cheddar, pasta filata, cottage cheese, and related varieties). You will support customer retention and site optimization while collaborating closely with Account Managers and technical colleagues across North America.
Your impact will include:
Enabling business retention and customer maintenance through proactive technical service and optimization activities Acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers, solving complex production challenges Supporting trials, data analysis, and technical reporting that drive customer value and growth Contributing technical expertise across North American regions as time allows This role combines hands‑on plant work with analytical problem‑solving and strong collaboration across commercial, technical, and innovation teams. What You'll Need to Be Successful 5+ years of experience in cheese and fresh dairy manufacturing In‑plant dairy production experience (required) with strong knowledge of plant operations Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a similar field Ability to conduct statistical analysis and translate data into practical process improvements Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating across teams Additional Skills & Interests We Value Experience with technical trials, troubleshooting, and plant audits Comfort working with multiple internal and external stakeholders Curiosity and motivation to explore new solutions and innovations in dairy production Project focus with the ability to drive initiatives from analysis to execution What We Offer A role with real impact in supporting sustainable food production Collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues across sales, technical service, R D, and innovation Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development A culture that values curiosity, teamwork, and practical problem‑solving Ways of Working Fully remote role, based in California (ideally Central Valley) Approximately 60% travel, depending on customer needs Regular work in dairy manufacturing plant environments Valid driver's license and ability to meet travel requirements are required Compensation & Benefits Base salary: USD $110,000 - $120,000 Target bonus: 10% 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution Minimum of 3 weeks vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time Health, Dental, Vision & Life insurance Healthcare savings account option Employee assistance program Parental leave Tuition reimbursement All benefits begin on your first day Relevant Information Application deadline: June 1, 2026 Our purpose guides the way In Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity's biggest challenges.
