Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Parts & Service Manager to lead our parts department with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. You will also oversee the mechanics in the shop to ensure work is being sent out quickly & effectively. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, optimize parts sourcing processes, and contribute to the overall success of our automotive service operations. Duties Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and procurement agreements that benefit the company. Oversee warehouse operations related to parts storage, shipping & receiving, and logistics inventory management to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist in parts sourcing for vehicle repairs and maintenance projects. Coordinate with internal teams on demand planning, order management systems, and parts administration to meet service deadlines. Implement best practices for inventory control, demand forecasting, and procurement management to minimize stock shortages or excesses. Ensure compliance with OEM standards and automotive parts regulations while maintaining high standards of quality assurance. Use data entry skills to accurately process purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documentation within ERP systems or AS400 platforms. Support auto body repair projects by sourcing OEM parts efficiently while managing sourcing channels for aftermarket or specialized accessories. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry or manufacturing environment. Strong supplier management experience with negotiation skills to secure favorable terms. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts specifications, and auto body repair processes. Familiarity with warehouse management practices including logistics inventory management and shipping & receiving procedures. Proficiency in inventory management systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., AS400) and Parts Order Management Systems. Experience with procurement management, demand planning, pricing strategies, and sourcing techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts & accessories is highly desirable. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills combined with strong internal communication abilities to support team collaboration.
