This includes managing the sales process, customer experience, business plans, inventory and merchandising, and associates. Coordinates the department's sales promotions and advertising campaigns in collaboration with other departments. MUST work Saturdays. Must pass a pre-hire drug screening and are subject to random testing during employment. Major Duties and Responsibilities Team Development Develop and lead a high-performing MotorClothes team that delivers exceptional customer service and achieves department sales goals. Communication & Training Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, promotions, policies, and operational priorities. Monitor department and associate performance using key performance indicators. Train, coach, and develop MotorClothes Associates on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques. Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and performance coaching. Promote teamwork and collaboration across all dealership departments. Attend dealership meetings as required. Sales Management Drive sales growth, profitability, and customer engagement through effective retail management practices. Establish and monitor department and associate sales goals. Track key performance indicators including sales, average dollar sale, units per transaction, conversion rates, customer data capture, and gross profit. Coach associates on the Harley-Davidson Sales Process and selling techniques. Ensure associates actively engage customers, recommend products, and capture customer information. Plan and execute department promotions, events, and marketing initiatives. Coordinate promotions with other dealership departments. Maintain current knowledge of Harley-Davidson products, programs, and promotions. Prepare and provide reports as requested by dealership leadership. Customer Service Management Deliver a premium customer experience that builds customer loyalty and repeat business. Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service. Ensure associates engage customers professionally, recommend appropriate products, and resolve concerns promptly. Maintain high standards for customer communication, transaction accuracy, and follow-up. Oversee in-store, online, special order, and customer fulfillment processes. Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships that support customer retention and referrals. Inventory Management & Control Manage inventory to maximize profitability, maintain accuracy, and support customer demand. Use GMROI and other key metrics to evaluate department performance. Plan, analyze, and place inventory orders to maintain balanced stock levels. Monitor inventory aging, sales trends, top sellers, and slow-moving merchandise. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory controls. Manage markdowns and inventory reduction strategies. Maintain organized stockroom and sales floor inventory areas. Implement loss prevention practices to minimize shrink. Retail Environment Maintain a visually appealing retail environment that supports sales and enhances the customer experience. Ensure compliance with Harley-Davidson and dealership merchandising standards. Plan and execute displays, floor sets, promotions, and seasonal merchandising. Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-focused retail environment. Utilize merchandising strategies to increase traffic, sales, and impulse purchases. Supervisory Responsibilities Lead daily department operations and associate performance. Schedule, supervise, and direct MotorClothes Associates. Assign responsibilities and communicate department priorities. Monitor department performance and implement strategies to achieve goals. Enforce dealership policies and procedures. Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop associates in partnership with dealership leadership. Maintain performance documentation and employment records as required. Qualifications & Job Requirements Experience in retail sales, merchandising, and inventory management. Harley-Davidson MotorClothes, riding gear, and licensed merchandise knowledge preferred. Experience with POS, CRM, DMS, and inventory management systems preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to analyze sales and inventory data and make sound business decisions. Physical Demands Ability to stand and move throughout the sales floor for extended periods. Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds. Working Conditions Primarily indoor retail environment with occasional outdoor event participation. Must be available to work weekends, special events, and peak business periods.
