Job Description

Position:
Ticket Sales & Service Manager Reports to:
Vice President Ticket Sales & Service Status:
Full-Time, Exempt Summary and Overview This position manages the day-to-day operations of all ticketing initiatives for the non-profit Valero Alamo Bowl and its ancillary events. This position is tasked with directing the successful implementation of all initiatives that capitalize on ticket buyer loyalty programs, email marketing, database marketing, direct mail marketing and relationship/CRM marketing. This position will work closely with the sales and marketing staff to provide the organization with increased revenue. Ticket Operations Responsibilities Develop strategies that will assist the organization with ticket sales as well as facilitate sales efforts within the organization in order to maximize revenue Work in conjunction with the Marketing Department in the development of promotional campaigns and materials Oversee creation and production of email campaigns (informational, sales) as well as track the effectiveness and responsiveness of various marketing and sales campaigns through analysis and reporting Coordinate the successful implementation and continuous updating of a database management system throughout the organization that provides comprehensive information on the demographics and purchasing behaviors of ticket buyers Continually research and become educated in industry best practices so that the Valero Alamo Bowl is recognized as a leader in emerging marketing technologies Manage ticket operation execution, including mobile ticket management, printed tickets, and reporting Assist in sponsor fulfillment of all tickets and sponsorship packages Coordinate all facets of parking services to include sales and operations on event day Ticket Sales Responsibilities Direct the department operations and functions including invoicing of account holders, seating upgrades, allocations and transfers, ticket printing, ticket mailings and ticket distribution Manage ticket inventory including annual sales, sponsorship packages, promotional packages, single ticket sales and ticket requests Oversee the relationship and maintenance of ticketing system (Ticketmaster) including Archtics, Account Manager, and TM.com Reconcile and maintain all financial reporting on ticket sales and other revenue generating items on a daily basis and act as the liaison between the ticket office and finance department Assist in development and maintenance of budget for Ticket Operations department as well as relevant vendor relationships (ticket printers, shipping companies, etc.) Serve as ticket liaison for participating schools, Alamodome and ticket printing company Manage all aspects of Ticket Operations/Sales/Customer Service on event days Customer Service Responsibilities Manage a CRM system for purposes of retaining and adding to customer base Ensure quality customer service to all patrons attending Valero Alamo Bowl and other events produced Develop and implement post-event surveys of ticket holders Manage all customer service questions regarding ticket and parking inquiries Offer input and help evaluate and implement all marketing communications and data collection efforts through various departments aimed at increasing customer base Integrate information from various database systems including: box office ticket sales, Archtics sales, Ticketmaster sales, Newsletters, and web site Other duties as assigned Competencies Self-motivated and willingness to engage in a high volume of communication Ability to develop and execute a daily sales plan with limited supervision Proven success with customer conflict resolution Excellent customer service skills, written & verbal skills and organizational skills Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all corporate, personnel and research matters Qualifications Bachelor degree in Sport Management, Business or related field 2-3 years in ticket operations and expert knowledge in applicable software Minimum use of 2 years of Archtics as the primary ticket software Able to manage, prioritize and bring to completion multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communications and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment as well as dependability and initiative Willing to work Holidays, weekends, and extended hours Application Process Review of candidates will continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
