Job Description
Partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and Materials/Purchasing teams to improve material availability and delivery. Provide timely communication, information and support regarding availability, capacity, order status and delivery date to sales, customer experience, materials, purchasing and production scheduling. Manage and utilize ticketing and case management systems, ensuring all tickets and cases are processed in a timely and efficient manner. Optimize the new order review and release process. Review capacity and load balance orders among plants. Monitor past-due orders and communicate actions required to resolve and prevent delays. Provide support for the quoting process as needed, with an emphasis on larger and more complex project orders. Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings with Sales, Customer Experience, Materials/Purchasing, and Assembly/Production Scheduling teams to enhance collaboration, communication, and delivery performance. KPI reports, tracking and monitoring. Analyze data and provide feedback on findings. Be an active participant in the company's suggestion, quality, efficiency and cost-saving programs. Manage escalations from Customer Experience and Outside Sales, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication. Develop and maintain standardized process documentation to support consistency and efficiency within the department. Train, coach, and develop direct reports while managing performance and supporting ongoing professional growth. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma Required. 4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.Experience:
3+ years of order management, customer service, sales, materials, production planning or related experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.Skills and Key Attributes:
Strong understanding of sales, order processing, materials management, and production processes, along with advanced knowledge of SAP product configuration, with an emphasis on Bills of Material. Brings strong team-building and collaboration skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of Nord Gear Corporation's operating and manufacturing systems, including order entry and MRP/ERP systems. Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude, supported by advanced computer proficiency and reporting capabilities. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Continuously applies a continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes, efficiency, and overall performance.Physical Requirements:
