Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Dealership Service Advisor and become the vital link between our valued customers and our expert service technicians. In this energetic role, you will guide clients through their vehicle maintenance and repair needs, ensuring a seamless, positive experience from start to finish. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain recommended repairs and maintenance services clearly, using auto estimating software to provide accurate quotes Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs to maximize dealership revenue Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs, estimate timeframes, and ensure timely completion of work Manage service write-ups, process transactions accurately including cash handling, and prepare detailed repair orders Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status updates, additional repairs needed, or follow-up services Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues related to transmissions, brakes, suspensions, diesel engines, air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, tire services, oil changes, collision repairs, and other automotive systems Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar dealership role with automotive repair knowledge Strong mechanical understanding of vehicle systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, diesel engines, and more Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly Previous experience in auto service management or service writing is highly desirable Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types including trucks with air brakes or heavy-duty vehicles Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts replacement This role offers an engaging environment where your automotive expertise meets your passion for helping customers.
