In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face of our store, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling sales transactions. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a great experience for every customer. This position offers an opportunity to engage with diverse customers, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. This is a multi faceted position which includes greeting and taking care of customers throughout the day including for afternoon tea, answering phone calls and taking care of emails and inquiries. Our business is expanding quickly and we are looking for a new associate to join our team. Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and mobile payments Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations or demos Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling. Assist customers with product inquiries--this includes, custom cakes, cupcake and cookie orders etc. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean and inviting Maintain knowledge of store products and current promotions to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Qualifications Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; grocery store experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a valuable asset Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos enhances customer engagement Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment Join us in creating a lively shopping atmosphere where every customer feels valued!
