Job Description

Company Overview Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Call Center Representative to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice in Beverly Hills. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring efficient communication within our healthcare team.
Work Location:
In person (Beverly Hills & Santa Monica Area) Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information as needed.
  • Triage calls to appropriate medical personnel based on urgency and nature of the inquiry.
  • Provide patients with information about our services, procedures, and clinic policies.
  • Handle patient concerns and complaints, providing appropriate solutions or escalating as necessary.
  • Assist patients with accessing telehealth services and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Process referrals and authorizations for specialist care.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Qualifications
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a medical call center or similar healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems and medical scheduling software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and telehealth platforms.
  • Bilingual skills (e.
g., English/Spanish/Farsi) are a plus.
