Third-Party Logistics (3PL) | Warehousing & Distribution Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Customer Service Coordinator with direct experience working in a 3PL warehouse, distribution center, or fulfillment operation . This position is responsible for independently managing customer accounts while coordinating daily warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, retail distribution, order fulfillment, inventory control, and transloading. The ideal candidate understands how warehouse operations function from start to finish, including retail routing requirements, pick/pack processes, and customer order management. This is a hands-on operational customer service role requiring strong WMS knowledge and daily communication with warehouse teams, customers, and transportation providers. Key Responsibilities Manage assigned 3PL customer accounts, serving as the primary contact for orders, inventory inquiries, shipment updates, and daily operational needs. Process and coordinate inbound receiving, outbound shipping, retail distribution, and fulfillment orders using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Coordinate warehouse pick/pack activities, order preparation, labeling, and shipping requirements to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. Support retail distribution orders, including routing instructions, shipping appointments, carrier requirements, and retailer-specific documentation. Coordinate transloading operations, including container unloading, freight sorting, staging, and outbound distribution. Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, receiving discrepancies, shortages, damages, and order accuracy. Communicate directly with warehouse personnel, trucking companies, carriers, and customers to coordinate daily freight movements. Schedule and monitor pickups, deliveries, dock appointments, and outbound shipment requirements. Prepare and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping records, inventory reports, customer documentation, and related operational paperwork. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, order issues, and customer concerns. Maintain accurate WMS transactions and ensure warehouse activities are properly recorded and communicated. Independently prioritize multiple customer accounts and time-sensitive warehouse requests in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Direct experience working for a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse, distribution center, or fulfillment provider is required. Experience coordinating warehouse receiving, shipping, inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution activities. Working knowledge of retail distribution, routing requirements, pick/pack fulfillment, and transloading operations . Hands-on experience processing customer orders and inventory transactions using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Extensiv WMS experience is highly preferred. Experience independently managing customer accounts and coordinating directly with warehouse operations teams. Familiarity with Bills of Lading, shipping documentation, carrier scheduling, and warehouse inventory reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a busy warehouse environment. This position requires direct warehouse-based 3PL experience. Freight forwarding or transportation coordination experience alone, without hands-on warehouse distribution or fulfillment experience, will not meet the requirements.
